European Studies Program “Approaching the European Union”
Economic & Political /Economic & Financial Structure
of the Environmental Movement in Europe
Munich - Vienna - Prague
[June 25 -July 17, 2012]
We are pleased to welcome students from Yamamah University to the Munich International Summer University (MISU) in Germany.
The Summer Program we offer takes place under the patronage of the Center for Applied Policy Research (CAP) at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich) in cooperation with the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES).The European Union is the most prominent example of how international business and regional integration works. For 27 European states, suprana-tional policy-making determines not only their political and economic sys-tems; the global challenges of the 21st century illustrate the limitations of power of individual governments, thus requiring common approaches.
Furthermore, the course analyses Europe's role as an international business partner and economic actor under the special focus of the EU relation between the middle east region.
Based on an interdisciplinary approach, the course combines different methodologies such as lectures, round-table discussions, group-work and students' presentations along with excursions to meet professionals and managers from German companies. In addition to the academy, we encourage you to engage in a vibrant inter-national student life on the campus of LMU Munich.
